Teresia is 32 years old and is married and the mother of three children. Her husband, John, is a farmer. Teresia sells charcoal and sawdust as her primary business and she has been doing this for six years now. She operates her business just next to her home compound and her customers are mainly her neighbors in the shopping center who buy charcoal for domestic use as fuel. She also sells to hotels within the center. Teresia was introduced to KADET by an existing member and this is her second loan. She doesn’t have a previous credit history. She plans to buy charcoal with Ksh 20,000 and sawdust with Ksh 10,000. Teresia hopes to better the living standards of her family. She considers herself as a very hardworking person.
